Lit Review Webinar: Giveaway Winners
Almost 300 researchers participated in our giveaway for the upcoming Effortless Academic Lit Review Webinar. We're delighted to announce the 10 winners who can attend this weekend for free!
Two weeks ago, we asked the Litmaps community a question:
Who or what influenced your decision to become a researcher?
The 289 responses blew us away. From personal hardships to famous scientists to teachers to the deep-seated respect and passion for scientific research, the variety of answers were as inspiring as they were diverse. You can read them all for yourself here.
From the many compelling answers, we’ve selected ten as winners for the upcoming The Effortless Literature Review 2.0 by Ilya Shabanov. We will share them on our Twitter and LinkedIn as well, to showcase the diversity and depth of ideas by which people are inspired to do research. Winners will also be directly emailed. In the meantime, here are a few of the winning responses:
“My Dad. While he only had basic schooling, his curious mind and constant reading instilled curiosity and an explorer's heart and mind in me. His example is what keeps me striving for more learning even at my mature age. And now, I find myself in a Ph.D. program at age 55.”
“It is a superpower to understand the reality objectively and help people to get a better life. I want to be someone who can eradicate irrational fear with reasoning and proof.”
“In my 2nd year science course, we tracked the development of sea urchins from a single cell organism to a multicellular living being, I was hooked from that day.”
“Counselor in elementary school, during an awful injury, showed me there was more to swimming than just training - got me into (sport) psychology, I eventually transitioned into cognitive science.”
What if I didn’t win?
Even if you didn’t win, your response is truly valued and anonymously shared in our set of responses. Moreover, if you’d like to attend the webinar for free, there’s still time!
Anyone who signs up for Litmaps Pro before July 28th can attend the workshop for FREE. We’re also offering 20% off your Pro subscription. Use the code EFFORTLESSLITMAPS2 at checkout to get 20% off, plus a webinar ticket emailed right to your inbox.

What’s the Literature Review Webinar?
For anyone who missed the giveaway announcement, the upcoming webinar is hosted by academic productivity expert Ilya Shabanov, creator of the Effortless Academic. His previous webinar on literature review in March sold over 500 tickets, which spurred him to create an updated version, using new AI tools and methodologies. This new-and-improved workshop will take place this weekend 29th of July 2023 (4PM EST).
Ilya will cover everything you need to know on how to optimise your literature search and review process. From gathering sources to a finished draft of a paper, he shows his tried-and-tested method, pulling on various free tools to help you maximise your productivity and efficiency as a researcher.
